Hamburg

Treated myself to a nice stay at the Marriott in Hamburg (Known in the Red universe as The Morbius though I hadn’t come up with the device of swapping Hotel names for Doctor Who characters (in the Alice / Rose prose) there will be no Doctor Who, instead a tv show called Teacher Whom! i am writing this the day before my 500 month birthday (because it makes me feel old like the Doctor) and Hamburg was over a week ago and some of the memories are slipping.

A few highlights - I was there on the day of St Pauli football team playing and there were 3 policepersons in a row like in the bad time line of Back to the Future, I asked them if I could take their picture and they said no, I asked is it a crime and they said they would control me if I did it, even though it wasn’t a crime. I have the picture on my phone - 3 little pigs.

I was called Stupid in English by a German to his colleague (I doubt they were friends) and then her colleague called me Crazy for saying it! I love that.. bought a German national team football shirt and two yellow coloured shirts - Adidas and Nike and some shorts. Had a Stein and some Schwein in a restaurant called Einstein.

Was generally weird to other tourists that freaked others out but some were deeply intrigued. I did visit some museums and cultural things but I forget, I am sure the pictures when I go through them will remind me. Facebook account was deleted a few days ago so I lost some of my posts.

Nice swimming in the pool - Came up with my swedes joke - What do you call three swedes in a sauna? Steamed vegetables.

Told jokes to Germans - managed to get one to laugh but that was only to impress his non German wife.
